What is the problem with woundcare?

38 Million people with diabetes

6.5 Million people with chronic wounds

500,000 + Amputations per year
There are over 38 million people with diabetes in the U.S, that contributes to an average of over 500,000 amputations per year, statistically, that is a patient’s limb amputated every minute.
More than 6.5 million people in the U.S. struggle with chronic wounds that fail to heal properly. This number is steadily increasing as the population ages and risk factors like diabetes and vascular disease rise. Left untreated, these wounds can cause severe pain, infections, and even amputations.
Every year, over 70 million surgeries are performed in the U.S.—each one creating a wound. Many patients face additional health conditions that make healing more difficult and prolonged.
Wounds that fail to achieve 50% closure in four weeks are more vulnerable to infection, amputation, and even death.
The economic burden is enormous. Chronic wound care costs the U.S. healthcare system over $25 billion annually, with Medicare alone spending more than $13 billion on non-healing or infected surgical wounds—surpassing even the cost of treating diabetic foot ulcers.

Get to know Allograft products
What they are
Allografts are advanced wound treatments made from donated human tissue, most often the placental membrane. They act as biologic coverings that support the healing of hard-to-close chronic wounds.
Composition
In wound care and surgery, allografts are commonly derived from sources like placental tissue (amniotic membrane), dermis, or extracellular matrix (ECM).
How they work
They deliver natural growth factors and proteins while providing a scaffold that protects the wound, reduces inflammation, and helps the body regenerate healthy tissue instead of scarring.
Formats
Allografts come in two main forms: dehydrated, which are shelf-stable and easy to store at room temperature, and cryopreserved, which retain more of the natural biologic activity by being stored frozen.
Uses
Allografts are widely used for chronic wounds, surgical repair, burns, and regenerative medicine applications.
Allograft patches are used as a protective wound covering or barrier membrane, applied directly onto acute or chronic wounds—including diabetic foot ulcers, venous leg ulcers, pressure injuries, trauma wounds, surgical wounds, dehisced wounds, and tunneling wounds, whether or not they expose muscle, tendon, or bone.

Key highlights

Up to 50% avg faster healing
Our product offerings include split-thickness skin grafts, amniotic membrane allografts, collagen dressings, and ECM (extracellular matrix) scaffolds that support tissue regeneration.
Each product in our portfolio is carefully selected for its clinical efficacy, safety, and compliance.

Heals hard to heal chronic & complex wounds
Allografts are a powerful tool for hard-to-heal chronic wounds because they provide both the biologic signals and physical scaffold needed to “restart” stalled healing.
They’ve been shown to heal more wounds, heal them faster, and improve patient outcomes compared to standard care alone

Natural regenerative properties
Derived from placental tissue, allografts deliver growth factors, proteins, and extracellular matrix, helping the body regenerate healthy tissue instead of forming excessive scar tissue.

Product selection
Our product offerings include split-thickness skin grafts, amniotic membrane allografts, collagen dressings, and ECM (extracellular matrix) scaffolds that support tissue regeneration.
Each product in our portfolio is carefully selected for its clinical efficacy, safety, and compliance following
eCFR 21 – Part 1271.
This means donor screening & testing, processing standards, regulatory classification, quality & traceability, clinical & practical considerations are taken into account when choosing the products we use.

Tissue regenerative therapy
Allografts support the body’s natural regenerative healing by delivering growth factors, proteins, and a biologic scaffold that help wounds restart the healing process. Instead of simply covering a wound, they actively reduce inflammation, promote new blood vessel growth, and encourage healthy cell migration.
This allows damaged tissue to be replaced with stronger, more functional tissue rather than excessive scarring. This means that when allografts are used on wounds, they don’t just close, they heal in a way that restores tissue more effectively and efficiently.

Anti-inflammatory & immune-friendly
They help reduce inflammation, control infection risk, and minimize immune response, creating a healthier environment for tissue repair.

Convenient storage & use
Available in dehydrated (room-temperature stable for years) and cryopreserved (frozen, biologically active) formats—giving providers flexibility depending on clinical setting and patient needs.

Proven safety & compliance
Regulated under FDA Part 1271, every graft undergoes rigorous donor screening, sterilization, and traceability checks to ensure the highest level of patient safety.

Outcomes
The proof is in the results, allograft products are the best treatment for chronic wounds

Proof in the results
Advanced amniotic allografts are showing some of the fastest healing times ever reported for stubborn chronic wounds. In clinical trials, nearly half of diabetic foot ulcers closed completely in just six weeks—where standard care had zero closure by then.
In other cases, chronic ulcers shrank by over 90% in that same period. And in a real-world case series, one wound fully healed in as little as four weeks.
Results do vary by wound type and patient circumstances, but these outcomes reflect the powerful regenerative potential of these grafts
Frequently asked questions
Look at our frequently asked questions to find answers to your questions. If you still have questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.
What services do you provide?
Our care includes in-home treatments, coordination with your doctors or medical facilities, handling insurance preauthorizations, and ongoing monitoring to ensure steady healing. We’re committed to making your treatment straightforward and stress-free.
What kinds of wounds do we treat?
We help heal chronic wounds that haven’t responded to standard treatments:
- Diabetic ulcers
- pressure injuries (like sacral sores)
- venous and arterial wounds
- traumatic wound
- tunnels or undermined wounds.
If your wound has persisted for over 30 days without improvement, we’re here to support your healing journey.
How often will I receive care?
Most patients with chronic wounds are seen every one to two weeks. Regular follow-ups help us track progress and tailor your treatment as needed.
Will you replace my current healthcare providers?
Not at all. We collaborate with your existing medical team to create a personalized, integrated care plan—bringing additional expertise to help you heal.
How much will this treatment cost?
Most of our advanced wound treatments are covered by Medicare, often resulting in minimal to no out-of-pocket expenses. We handle insurance verification and paperwork so you can focus entirely on healing.
Is the treatment painful?
No. Our amniotic allograft treatments are designed to be gentle and as pain-free as possible, prioritizing your comfort throughout the healing process.
Can nutrition help with wound healing?
Absolutely. Proper nutrition is vital. Protein supports tissue repair, and staying hydrated helps your body function more effectively. We can offer guidance to optimize what you eat and drink during treatment.
How can caregivers assist in wound care?
You play a crucial role. Please wash your hands before touching the wound, reposition the patient every two hours if they’re immobile to prevent pressure sores, and promptly report any signs of infection—like fever, increased redness, foul odor, or unusual drainage.
How do underlying health conditions affect wound healing?
Chronic wounds often coexist with health issues such as high blood sugar, kidney or liver problems, and weakened immune function. We monitor these conditions closely and adjust treatment plans to maximize healing outcomes.
